Jacqueline “Jackie” Sue Rodman, 80, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale with her family by her side.
Jackie was born June 23, 1941 in New Madrid, Missouri the daughter of the late Woodrow Staffey and Hazel Korando.
Jackie retired after 29 years from Marshall Browning Hospital. Jackie worked earlier years at Carbondale Memorial Hospital and St Joseph Hospital. Jackie met Karen Hill while working at Carbondale Memorial and they became lifelong friends.
She married Douglas M. Rodman on November 20, 1962. They shared over 55 years of marriage till his passing on April 14, 2017.
Jackie is survived by her children; Robert & Deanna Rodman of Cutlerville, Clara Ann & Alan Moore of Murphysboro; Michael Rodman of Murphysboro; seven grandchildren Kenneth W. Woollard & Alex Rodman, Miranda E. Moore & Madison L. Moore & Joshua M. Rodman, Joseph J. Rodman & Nicole S. Rodman; 4 great-grandchildren. Jackie will be sadly missed by her family and all her friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Douglas Rodman and three brothers Samuel Staffey, James Staffey and Paul Staffey, and infant sister Clara Jane Staffey.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Arrangements are entrusted to Walker Funeral Home of Carbondale.
